By Janet AdamyHouse Oversight Committee Chairman Darrell Issa is narrowing his sights on the Obama administration’s health law waivers.
At issue are employers and other insurance providers who sought waivers from having to enrich their benefits to meet new standards in the health overhaul law. As of February, the Obama administration had granted a total of 1,040 one-year waivers to providers of bare-bones insurance plans, including McDonald’s Corp. and Waffle House.
