DULUTH, MN (Northland's Newscenter)---The Duluth School District has taken a new approach to employee health insurance.
Costs are projected to decrease this year by 8 percent, ultimately reducing the general fund deficit by 1.7 million dollars.
Overall, this decrease in insurance cost will reduce the districts projected 7.3–million fund deficit.
Leaders within the Duluth Federation of Teachers played a role in changing the way health insurance is provided to district
