Abingdon hair salon benefitting Locks of Love

Oasis, a hair salon on Abingdon’s Main Street, will be offering free haircuts to those who donate 10 inches or more of hair on Saturday from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. The event, a Locks of Love-a-thon will benefit the nonprofit organization that provides vacuum fitted hairpieces to financially disadvantaged children suffering from long-term medical hair loss from any diagnosis. Locks of Love meets a need for children by using donated human hair to create the highest quality hair prosthetics.
